C-Lax Tablet (Laxative)
In traditional medicine, Senna is used for the treatment of constipation because of its laxative effect. Also, this plant has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a herbal laxative. Laboratory studies have shown that the active ingredient of the Senna (Senozid) doesn’t absorb in the small intestine and is converted into the active metabolite of Rhein-Anthrone by the normal flora in the large intestine. These compounds stimulate and increase the peristaltic movements of the intestine, thereby increases the secretion of active chloride and mucus in the large intestine. Also, the Senna leaves contain glycosides which act as laxatives. Base on the studies, the effectiveness of this product is like Bisacodyl drug for treating constipation.
Constipation is one of the subjects that people are less willing to talk about. Even if they are involved in this disorder, they don’t tend to consult a doctor or other person. constipation is a condition in the digestive tract due to disposable substances are hardened in the large intestine. It is also accompanied by pain. acute constipation may cause bowel closure, which even requires surgery. The causes of this effect may be because of an inappropriate diet, hormonal imbalance, side effects of a drug. Constipation treatment by herbal products has no side effect and also have a good effect.
Usually, the disposable products of the digestion are driven forward by muscle contractions. In the large intestine (colon), the majority of the water and salt mixed in can recovered as the body requires it for many of its essential functions. When the Colon is full of water, or if the muscle performs contractions slowly. Also, the feces get hard and pass through your colon so slowly. This is the main reason for constipation.
If muscles that we use to move the abdomen properly don’t do it properly, you may suffer to constipation. This problem is a disorder of the lower portion of the pelvis (animus)and makes you suffer a severe pain with most abdominal movements.
The common factors that exacerbate constipation include diet type, lack of diet containing fruits, lack of liquids and etc. Consumption of some drugs, such as high blood pressure drugs, and some prescription drugs, contribute to causing of constipation. Physiological conditions like pregnancy and age increase, a number of diseases associated with a reduction of movement, such as muscle diseases, are also causes constipation.
Some large intestine diseases caused by a disorder in large bowel movements. Such as irritable bowel syndrome, the disease associated with the hip bone, and eventually, depression disorders are other causes of constipation. Consumption of drugs as well as pills containing traditional and industrial drugs, such as methadone, can also cause constipation.
Senna as a Laxative
The Senna contains compounds called anthraquinone, which act as a laxative. Moreover, the findings suggest that using Senna is an effective way to cleanse the intestinal tract before the therapy.
The Senna contains active ingredients that include, volatile oils and Flavonoids. The smooth muscle contraction moves the materials in the intestine. The Senna stimulates these moves and also stimulates these actions in the intestine. SO we can conclude that consuming Senna is an effective treatment for Constipation.
